Refugee Benefit Concert 2014
This is another BSP production film when December 14, 2014 a number of local area musicians gathered in Dubuque Iowa for a benefit concert for refugee children from Central America. Blu Skye Productions was fortunate to document this remarkable performance. These are excerpts from the original concert. Video coming soon .
Class Reunion 1969 - 50 years 2019
This BSP film was created with the thought of what life was like back in the year 1969. Movies, music, and events in our Country were very turbulent and tumultuous at times and also very rewarding and progressive times for our future. Multiple students refreshed our memories of some of the social events and entertainment happenings that occurred during that final year of high school.
Independence Day Fireworks 2020
This BSP production is a studio enhanced reproduction of the live July 3, 2016 fireworks in Dubuque, Iowa. It has been three years in the making and many many hours of creativity and research. The prelude to this Independence Day film is narrated by Anai Williams.
This George Floyd thirty-five minute film is based on five days of filming protests and marches, in Dubuque, Iowa, from June 1 to June 6, 2020 including an interview with the President of the NAACP, Chapter Dubuque. This film captures a community coming together to peacefully protest national injustice and the death of George Floyd.
This BSP film, Incite Insight, was performed at Babka Black Box Theatre at the University of Dubuque in conjunction with The Latitude Ensemble/Concordance Project directed by Jeffrey Agrell and James Sherry. Amy Ressler directed the Improvisation Theatre Company students. About 8 students and 9 musicians participated in the February 9, 2016 performance. There was no prepared script or music. Everything was ‘improvised’. Master pianist Bang Lang Do participated in the performance.
